Some cleaning fans have managed to pick the product up for as little as £1 when it is on offer in certain shops.

The company behind the amazing cleaning product says: “Dr.Beckmann Carpet Stain Remover uses it oxide powdered formula and brush head attachment to get right to remove tough stains and odours from upholstery and carpets, in the home or car, and is ideal for pet owners.

“Always test for compatibility prior to use by applying a small amount of the product to an inconspicuous area of the carpet/upholstery and then leave for 30 minutes.

“Remove all residues of the product using a moist white cloth and allow the test area to dry completely. If the test area remains unchanged proceed with stain removal.”

They also advise people using the product not to use it on leather, suede, silk, velvet or any fabric which can be damaged by water alone.

The company has since brought out a new version of the cleaner which helps remove pet stains and odour from the home.

Similar to the carpet stain remover, it helps get deep into the carpet fibres to remove stains and odours completely.

Coming in a bit more expensive, it retails at £3.59 on the website and it is recommended to leave the product for only three minutes before wiping the residue with a damp cloth.
